The first time we came to Bridge Lake was in 1990 on a RV trip through British Columbia and the Rocky Mountains. We stopped for two beautiful late summer days at one of the local resorts, relaxed, rented a boat, did some fishing, watched the Kokanee jumping and absorbed the tranquility of the lake.

Only a few years later we made the bold decision to quit our jobs in Germany, immigrate to Canada and move to Bridge Lake permanently. So, since 1997 we call Bridge Lake home. Almost from the beginning we became part of the BCLSS lake survey and Bird Canada’s loon count, and some time later Karl established a local weather station. For many years now we keep enjoying nature near and beyond Bridge Lake by traveling in our camper or hiking, while taking many pictures along the way.
