The Rusty Mackerel Pub, Teelin, Co. Donegal, Ireland

This pub dates back to 1892 and is famous for its warm and friendly atmosphere, food and drink with traditional Irish music seven days a week. We visited in 1988, way before sites like Tripadvisor or Yelp gave it top ratings. Today, busloads of tourists come here during the summer months. In 2019, the Rusty Mackerel Pub was even named the “best newcomer” of all Irish pubs, 127 years (!) after it served its first pint.
