Lavender and poppies bordering a foot path, Les Baux-de-Provence, Southern France

Lavender is an herb, namely one of the ingredients in the famous herb mixture “Herbes de Provence” (besides savory, marjoram, rosemary, thyme, and oregano). Anne grows it in our own garden, albeit not so magnificently as shown here in a private garden in Les Baux-de-Provence. The poppies add a nice colour contrast to the blue lavender.
