Bald Eagle drying its feathers in the morning sun, Drewry Lake, South Cariboo, BC

I’m out on the lake by 6:30 but the fish aren’t biting. So I just drift through the weeds on the eastern shore and there is this adult Bald Eagle sitting on a dead tree right above me. It looks like it is taking flight, but actually it sits proudly in the sun and dries its feathers from a morning bath ... or maybe it was luckier than me and caught a fish.
